Yeh, MD, and Masha Livhits, MD, both of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, discuss their study, which examined RNA and DNA-RNA tests to find out whether one was better at predicting malignancy in thyroid nodules with indeterminate cytology. Such diagnostic assessments may help patients with suspected thyroid cancer to avoid thyroidectomy.
